Patrik Antonius is a Finnish professional poker player. He is also a former tennis player, coach, and model from Vantaa, Finland. He was a member of Luske's Circle of Outlaws, where he met poker pro-Marcel Lüske, who mentored him. He has made a name for himself as one of the world's high-stakes players. He defeated Tom Dwan in the 2009 Durrrr Challenge.
Background
Antonius Patrik was born on December 13, 1980. He started playing poker at a very young age. He was also a tennis player, but due to his back injury, he couldn’t continue. He used to play poker with $50 with his friends. At 18, he took his game to the local casino.
After his initial injury, he pursued Tennis but had to give up permanently due to another injury. Searching for a new path, he tried modelling, waiting tables, door-to-door selling, and coaching tennis. Nothing caught up except poker.

Antonius started playing poker in the early 2000s and won two big six-figure prizes on the European Poker Tour. In 2005, he won the Scandinavian Poker Championships in Stockholm. He also finished third in the EPT Barcelona Main Event and took €117,000 home. Later in the year, he won €288,180 in the EPT Baden Main Event and finished second in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, taking $1,046,470 home.
In 2021, he won $200,000 by defeating Phil Ivey in the WPT Heads-Up Championship. His popularity grew in the late 2000s when he appeared in shows like Poker After Dark, Poker Million, and Late Night Poker.
