Abhishek Goindi hails from Bangalore. He graduated from Christ College Bangalore and worked at HSBC. Abhishek realised his passion for this intriguing card game and quit his job to play poker dedicatedly.

This poker pro is an MTT specialist and has achieved success in almost all Tournament Leaderboards in India. Abhishek Goindi has participated in Indian Poker tournaments and also played world-level tournaments. Apart from having a passion for poker, he is interested in travelling and loves to listen to music.

Poker Career

Abhishek Goindi earned recognition in the poker world during the 2010 India Poker Championship (IPC), in which he participated with a buy-in of ₹25,000 and placed sixth, winning ₹1,18,000.

He then moved towards international tours, earning his first live cash prize abroad in 2012 at the Poker Ace High Rollers Event in the APT Asian Series Manila. He also earned PHP 1,604,000 and gained 360 APT player points, which placed him sixth on the series leaderboard.

He achieved the highest cash win of his career in Macau at the Red Dragon Event, placing second and earning HK $1,056,500.

Abhishek Goindi has participated in the World Series of Poker seventeen times and earned $53,976 from it. He has earned a name for himself among India’s best 30 players.

He is the first Indian poker player to be featured on the cover of CardPlayer magazine. In November 2020, he also appeared on the cover of Gutshot Magazine alongside Tanay Hargunaney, his partner from PBCI.
