Alex Jacob is a former American professional poker player and a game show contestant. He is known for his 2006 Main event win. ESPN televised the no-limit Texas Holdem event. He has also appeared in the final tables of WSOP and WPT.

Alex Jacob was born on October 27, 1984. He is the valedictorian of Deerfield Beach High School, where he was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program. In 2006, he graduated from Yale University with a degree in economics and mathematics.

In 2003, he won the Peter A. Fabrizio Memorial Poker Classic, and in 2006, he finished second in the WPT at Foxwoods Resort Casino, taking home $655,507. His highest paycheck was the 2006 U.S. Poker Championship, where he won the event and took home $878,500. He has four World Series of Poker (WSOP) final tables.
He has also appeared on a game show called Jeopardy. In 2015, he won in his first appearance and five more games until losing one in 2015. He won a total of $151,802 in seven appearances. This qualified him for the 2015 Tournament of Champions, which he won, taking $250,000 home.
