Angel Guillén is a Mexican professional poker player known for winning one of the 2009 World Series of Poker events. He is the second Mexican national in history to win a gold bracelet.

Angel Guillén was born in 1983 in Mexico City, Mexico. He graduated with an economics degree and became an investor. Rounder's movie grabbed his attention towards poker. He started playing for pay on websites. He competed in free tournaments, where the winner got $5 or $10 and qualified to compete in other tournaments.

World Series of Poker
After winning a fair amount in these small tournaments, he started playing in live tournaments. He first played in the Bahamas, and soon after, he travelled throughout South America and Europe.
In 2009, he first played in high-level poker tournaments in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. He finished 51st and won $27,500. He played in the second season of the Latin American Poker Tour in Punta del Este, finishing third and winning $99,920. He played in the Main event of the Spring Cup of Online Poker (SCOOP), finishing 15th and winning $61,500.
In the 2009 World Series of Poker(WSOP), he played in the No-Limit Hold'em with a $2,000 buy-in; he finished second and won $312,800. Ten days later, he played in another Texas Holdem, winning $530,548 and his first gold bracelet.
