Antanas Guoga, known as Tony G, is a Lithuanian-Australian poker player. He is also a businessman, politician and philanthropist. In 2020, he was elected from 2020 to 2024 of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in the Labour Party group.
Background
Antanas Guoga was born on 17 December 1973 and spent his childhood in Kaunas and the Alytus district in Lithuania. He moved to Australia at the age of 11 and lived in Melbourne. He worked various jobs, including repairing sewing machines and washing cars. Before moving to Melbourne, he was Lithuania's Rubik's Cube champion.

Antanas has been playing poker since the age of 18. He is known for his table talks and attempts at intimidating opponents. In 2023, he finished fifth in the WPT Grand Prix de Paris. In the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), he finished twice ITM in Seven-card stud and pot-limit Texas Holdem tournaments.
He finished second in the WPT Grand Prix de Paris 2004 and won $414,478. In WPT 2024, he finished bubble in the Mirage Poker Showdown event. In August 2005, he won the £5,000 no-limit Texas Holdem Main Event and took £260,000 home. Later, he made the final table of the World Speed Poker.
He won the 2006 WPT Bad Boys of Poker II event, and to promote poker in Japan, he wore a kimono. The same year, he finished second in the inaugural Intercontinental Poker Championship.
In an event, Tony G started verbally assaulting the opponent. He provoked Ralph Perry, and when Perry went all-in with the worst hand, Tony G started to ridicule and lecture him. The commentator Gabe Kaplan said, ‘"I think Tony G is speaking more like a Lithuanian than an Australian. Tony G could single-handedly reignite the Cold War.’
In November 2006, he won the Asian Poker Tour, taking $451,700 home. The following year, he appeared in the NBC television program Poker After Dark and placed third. In November, he won a tournament in Moscow, winning $205,000.
In 2008, he received a Shining World Leadership award. The same year, he finished sixth in the $5,000 No Limit Deuce and took home $78,075.
He was a founding inductee in the Australian Poker Hall of Fame in 2009. The same year, he placed third in the European High Roller Championship and won € 420,000.
The following year, he established the Lithuanian Poker Federation and played occasionally. In 2018, he played in Party Poker: The Big Game along with Isildur1, Sam Trickett, and casino owner Rob Yong.
In 2019, he placed fourth in the Isildur1, Sam Trickett and casino owner Rob Yong, winning € 799,045. In 2021, he played in Kyrenia's Super High Roller Bowl and won $1,196,000 in the $100,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold'em event.
In 2022, he played in the Triton Poker Series and finished second, winning $1,389,436.
