Barbara Enright is an American professional poker player, a motivational speaker, and an editor-in-chief of Woman Poker Player magazine. He is an ambassador of the Poker League of Nations. She has won three WSOP bracelets.
Background
Barbara Enright was born on August 19, 1949. She started playing poker at home when she was four and in cardrooms in 1976. She worked as a hairstylist, bartender, and cocktail waitress to support her family. She then switched to poker as she was earning more than all her jobs combined.
Barbara Enright Poker Career
In 1986, Enright won her first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet when she played in the $500 Women's 7-Card Stud event. She is also the only woman to reach the final tables of the WSOP US$10,000 no-limit hold 'em Main Event. In the 2005 Main event, she finished in the money and qualified through a $10 online satellite tournament.
She was the first woman to win three bracelets and an open event at the World Series of Poker. In 2007, she was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, becoming the only woman in all three halls of fame.
In the 2000 Legends of Poker Tournament, she was awarded the All Around Best Player Award. She also received a new PT Cruiser for her trophy. She was the highest finisher in the Tournament of Champions of Poker, finishing 11th.
She participated in the Poker Royale: Battle of the Ages, the televised poker series.
