Caitlin Sinclair "Cate" Hall was born September 19, 1983, and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She learned card games from her grandmother when she was seven and started playing chess in elementary school. In college, she began playing the online role-playing game World of Warcraft. He has earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and philosophy. After graduation, she worked in New York City for two years and then moved to Washington, D.C.

In October 2013, Hall made her first cash appearance in a live tournament in Hanover, Maryland. In 2015, she played in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and cashed in the No Limit Hold'em tournament. At the end of 2025, she reached the final table of the World Poker Tour Main event and finished fifth, winning $60,000. She finished fifth in the WPT Main Event and won $300,000 at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic.
