David Yongtaek "Chino" Rheem is an American professional poker player. He has made over $12.3 million in tournament earnings and became the fourth on California’s all-time money list. His poker journey took off after he finished third in the 2008 WSOP.
Chino Rheem Poker Career
Chino Rheem was born on April 15, 1980. He finished seventh in the 2008 Poker Main Event World Series and won $1,772,650. He won the World Poker Tour's Season VII Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic, taking $1,538,730 home. He had five previous WSOP cashes; his best result came when he finished second in a $1,000 no-limit Texas Holdem. He cashed in the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and finished 193rd. In 2008, he made a final table and finished fifth in the $5,000 Mixed Hold'em event.
In 2011, he won the $20,000 buy-in 6-Max No Limit Hold'em tournament and took $1,000,000 home. Due to owing several debts from poker players, his membership in the league was placed on probation.
In 2013, he won the World Poker Tour Championship event and earned $1,150,297. In 2016, he won his third WPT title at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale.
He won the 2019 Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure $10,300 PCA Main Event and took $1,567,100 home.
