Eli Elezra is an Israeli professional poker player known for top cash games. He has won five WSOP bracelets and won WPT in the post-Moneymaker era. He won the 2004 World Poker Tour Mirage Poker Showdown, taking over millions of dollars. He has more than 70 money finishes in the WSOP in Omaha.
Background
Eliahu Ilan Elezra was born on 24 November 1960 in Jerusalem. He served in the Israeli Defense Force's Golani Brigades and served time in prison for disobeying military orders. In 1982, he was discharged after a leg injury, and he learned poker to utilise his rest time. After recovering, he moved to Alaska, drove cabs, and purchased a convenience store. He started his fish industry in Alaska and later moved to Las Vegas to become the owner of a film-developing business.

Eli Elezra has appeared on famous TV shows like High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark and was a member of the Full Tilt Poker team. In 2007, he won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet and a $250,000 side bet. By 2022, his live tournament earnings exceeded $5 million, more than those from WSOP events.
In 2017, he published a biography about his poker journey. The book was later translated into English as Pulling the Trigger. In 2021, he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
