Gustav Hansen is a Danish professional poker player. He has won three World Poker Tour open titles, one WSOP bracelet and the 2007 Aussie Millions main event. He is also a winner of Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament season one. He started playing poker in 1997.
Background
Hansen was born on February 13, 1974, in Copenhagen, Denmark, and currently lives in Monaco. Before taking up poker as a profession, he was a world-class backgammon player and a tennis champion in his youth. While studying there, he started playing poker at Ocean View Card Room in Santa Cruz.

He got his first big win in 2002, 2003, and 2004. 2002, he won $556,460 in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic. In 2003, he won $532,490 at the WPT LA Poker Classic, and in 2004, he won $455,780 at the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure.
World Poker Tour (WPT)
He is the first player to win three open WPT tournaments and the Bad Boys of Poker Invitational. 2004, he was inducted into the World Poker Tour Walk of Fame.
World Series of Poker (WSOP)
2004, he finished 150th in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event. 2006, he reached the WSOP Tournament of Champions final table; in 2010, he won his first WSOP bracelet in the High Roller Heads-Up event.

In 2006, he won the London All-Star Challenge. In 2008, he finished second in the season, won the 6 WPT Championship, and won $1.7 million. He has also won A$1.5 million in the Aussie Millions Main Event.
2010 he won the Poker Million IX tournament and took home $1 million. In 2012, he finished third in the Aussie Millions $250,000 and won $823,579.
