Isaac Haxton was born September 6, 1985, and raised in Syracuse, New York. His father is an English professor, and his mother is a psychiatrist. His father introduced him to poker, and he started playing at four. He even played Magic: The Gathering by the age of ten.

He attended Brown University and majored in computer science. But more than studies, he leans towards poker. Later, he came back and completed his degree in philosophy.

After 18, he started playing poker at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York. He started with low stakes, such as $3/$6, before increasing in stakes. With merely a $50 deposit, he transitioned to online poker.

In 2007, he cashed his first tournament in the WPT and finished second, winning $861,789. He won the  $10,000 Short Deck the following year and took $176,000 home. In December 2018, he won the Super High Roller Bowl V and $3,672,000 home.

In January 2023, he won his first bracelet in the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed event and took $1,698,215 home. In September, he won the uper High Roller Bowl and won over $2.7 million.
