Jason Koon was born on August 14, 1985. He graduated from Lewis County High School in 2003 and completed his Master's in Business Administration and Finance from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon. He had an injury, and during the recovery period, to avoid boredom, he started playing poker. His roommate taught him Texas Holdem, and he realized he could make money out of it.
