Jennifer Tilly was born Jennifer Ellen Chan on September 16, 1958. Her father was a used car salesman, and her mother was a school teacher and former stage actress. Her mother raised her after her parents divorced. After her mother’s second divorce, the family shifted to the suburb of Victoria, British Columbia, where she attended Belmont Secondary School.
