Koray Aldemir Poker Career
Koray Aldemir was born in 1990 and started playing poker with his friends on New Year's Day when he was 16. He then slowly began playing freerolls on Poker Stars. In 2012, he won his first recorded live cash in a €200 tournament. In 2013, while playing a tournament in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, he allowed another player to send money to Poker Stars and got his account locked for four years.
After completing his psychology, he moved to Vienna. In the 2016 WSOP, he won his career’s best cash, $2.1 million, before the main event. The same year, he finished second in the Summer Solstice event.
In 2017, he won the Triton high roller and took $1.3 million home. The following year, he finished third in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and won $481,000.
In the 2021 Main event, he started the final table with the chip lead, went heads-up and won the tournament. He won $20 million, which placed him fourth on Germany’s all-time money list.
In the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP), he finished third in the Player of the Year list. In the Main event, he finished 75th.
