Michael Mizrachi is an American poker player known for two world tour titles. He has won the 2010, 2012, and 2018 WSOP $50,000 Players Championship and finished fifth in the 2010 World Series of Poker. In 2013, he became a pro member of Lock Poker.
Background
Michael David Mizrachi was born in Miami, Florida, on January 5, 1981. He is the brother of Robert Mizrachi, a numerous WSOP and WPT title winner. His twin brother, Eric Mizrachi, is a semi-amateur poker player, and his other brother, Daniel Jay Mizrachi, is a professional DJ and a casual poker player. Growing up, Michael wanted to become a doctor but dropped the plan to pursue poker.
Michael Mizrachi Poker Career
In 2005, Michael recorded seven money finishes in a single year. He finished third in the 2008 World Series of Poker. 2010, he won his first bracelet in the Poker Player's Championship and took $1,559,046 home. He also made the November Nine in the main event. He finished fifth and won $2,332,992. In 2011, he finished second in the $2,500 Omaha/Stud Eight or Better event and took $158,148 home.
In 2011, at WSOPE, he won his second bracelet in the €10,400 No Limit Hold'em event and took €336,008 home. He even made it to the three final tables in the 2012 World Series of Poker and won the second Poker Player's Championship title, winning $1,451,527. In the 2013 WSOP Africa, he won the $3,300 Main Event and took $101,267 home.
In 2018, he won the poker player’s championship for the third time and took $1,239,126 home. Next year, he won his fifth WSOP bracelet in the Event #27.
World Poker Tour
In 2005, he finished fifth in the WPT World Poker Open. He won the L.A. Poker Classic the following month and took home $1,859,909. He also finished eleventh in the $25,000 WPT Championship.
