Nick Petrangelo was born on 2nd January 1987. He was a top athlete in a Division III college in New York. He also used to play hockey and Golf, but a concussion forced him to give up his dreams and retire from sports. To fill the void, he turned to poker.

Nick plays online poker under the screen name Caecilius. In 2012, he won the most points in the PocketFives. In 2017, he won the high-roller event of the World Championship of Online Poker and took $625,000 home. In 2015, he won his first WSOP bracelet. He finished second in the $100,000 WPT Alpha8 No Limit Hold'em High Roller event and won $1,015,335.
In 2016, he won a side event in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown and earned $93,208. In 2017, he won the Aussie Millions ANTON Jewellery AU$100,000 Challenge and took home AU$882,000.
He won his second bracelet at the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP). He played in the $100,000 No-Limit Holdem event and took home $2,910,227.
