
Biography
Nikita Luther was born in Delhi, attended and finished school in Sanskrit, and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi. She appeared in the first season of GGPoker's Game of Gold, a poker reality competition. She was the first professional female poker player in India to be invited to give a TEDx talk. She has been very successful in poker tournaments in India and worldwide.

Nikita Luther Poker Career
Nikita's initial exposure to poker began as a mere curiosity, leading her to play on Zynga, a U.S.-based online poker platform. This casual interest took a significant turn during a friend's birthday party in 2015, when she played poker with real stakes for the first time.
Nikita Luther and Raghav Bansal, another poker player, won the Macau Poker Cup team event in February 2017. Nikita was the first Indian woman to win a poker tournament on the global stage, achieving a significant milestone in her poker career. In June 2017, she won 5th place in the Aria Poker Classic Main Event, which awarded her $65,000.
Nikita Luther made a big achievement by winning a gold bracelet at the most prestigious poker tournament, the World Series of Poker (WSOP), in June 2018. She made a victory in the $1000 No-limit Holdem Tag Team Event with her teammate, German Italian poker player Giuseppe Pantaleo, in Las Vegas. In 2018, during the WSOP Ladies Event, Nikita Luther secured 3rd place in Las Vegas.
Nikita placed 6th position at the 2019 APT Vietnam Main Event, winning a cash prize of VND 720,000,000. She secured 2nd place in the final table of the Aria Poker Classic’s Zynga Poker WPT 500, with prize money of $110,000 in June 2019. She is the top-ranked female poker player in the Global Poker Index Indian Ladies of 2020. She achieved 15th position at the 52nd 2021 Annual World Series of Poker’s Tag Team Event of No Limit Texas Hold’em. She also secured 2nd place in the 2020 WPT India High Roller Event and won a prize of INR 18.50 lakhs.
