Pamela Brunson is an American professional poker player. She is the daughter of legendary poker player Doyle Brunson and the sister of Todd Brunson. She quickly moved out from their shadow and made a name for herself.
Background
Pamela Brunson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sept. 4, 1964. She moved to Las Vegas when she was nine years old. Growing up, she was a competitive horseback rider. She earned a degree in sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Later, she worked in the retirement home industry and became an executive director of high-end retirement communities. Later, after seeing her father, Doyle Brunson, and brother playing poker, she learned the game and started playing regularly.
Pamela Brunson Poker Career
Pamela’s biggest achievement was the 207 World Series of Poker; she played in the main event and defeated her father and brother. In the same WSOP, she cashed in another event. Later, in 2007, she won the Legends of Poker Ladies Tournament, taking $44,000 home. Additionally, she won the $10,000 seat in the WPT Main Event and a spot in the WPT Ladies Night Out invitational.
