Sam Trickett is an English professional poker player. He is known for finishing second in the Big One for One Drop against Antonio Esfandiari and winning $10 million. He is currently the twelfth highest-earning tournament player.

Sam Trickett Poker Career
Sam Trickett started playing poker in 2005 after his knee injury ended his football career. He slowly became a regular player in Sheffield. In 2008, he won $215,178 in the GUKPT Luton Main Event. He cashed six times in the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
In late 2010, he participated in a high-stakes cash game series in Macau with Tom Dwan, John Juanda, and Phil Ivey. In an interview in 2007 with Bluff Europe magazine Trickett, he said he won approximately £1m in these games.
In 2011, he cashed over $3 million. He played in super high buy-in small field no-limit hold 'em tournaments. He won the $100k buy-in high roller event and finished second in the $250k super high roller event. In November, he won the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event in Cannes and took €1,000,000 home.
In 2012, he finished second in the WSOP's Big One for One Drop and took home $10,112,001. This win made him Great Britain's all-time most successful poker player.
The following year, he won the $250,000 Challenge at the 2013 Aussie Millions, taking $2,000,000 AUD home. In March, he finished second in the Premier League Poker VI at Aspers Casino London.
