Biography
Sandra Naujoks, known as Black Mamba, is a German professional poker player who won the 2009 Main Event of the European Poker Tour in Dortmund. With this victory, she became the second female EPT champion.
Background
Sandra Naujoks was born on July 29, 1981. She studied German and history to become a teacher but later changed her field and studied marketing and communication. She worked as a graphic designer before transitioning into poker.
Poker Career
Naujoks mainly plays live No-Limit Hold 'em tournaments. She was initially signed by Full Tilt Poker but switched to Poker Stars in 2009, where she was a Team Poker Stars pro-Germany member.
Her notable successes include winning the GIGA Poker Night 2008, reaching the final table of the 2008 Casinos Austria Poker Tour in Graz, and winning the 2008 European Poker Championship in Baden.
She defeated the Russian player Alexander Krawtschenko in a heads-up match, winning €174,500 and becoming Europe’s Leading Lady at the 2008 European Poker Awards.
Her biggest win was in March 2009, when she won the European Poker Tour main event and took €917,000 home.
In 2011, she represented Germany and won the IFP Nations Cup with Sebastian Ruthenberg, Moritz Kranich, and Tobias Reinkemeier. Her last recorded cash came in April 2013 at the EPT in Berlin.
Apart from poker, she actively participated in charity work. In 2009, she co-founded the All In 4 Kids project, where players donate 2% of their live tournament winnings.
From March to June 2011, she was a jury member on the casting show Das Poker Stars Ass on ProSieben, along with Sophia Thomalla and Thomas Lamatsch.
