Biography

Scott Seiver is a professional poker player from New York. He won the 2008 World Series of Poker $5000 No Limit Holdem and the $25,100 buy-in High Roller event, which was held in 2010 in L.A. In 2015, he became the ninth player in GPI history to naked #1. Apart from his poker skills, he is known for his table talk and appearance in High-Stakes Poker.

Background

Seiver was born on 14 April 1985 in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. As a kid, Seiver was fond of Magic: The Gathering. When he is free, he plays magic tricks. He was a member of the Alpha Epsilon brotherhood along with his friends. He currently lives in Las Vegas.

Scott Seiver Poker Career

Seiver won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in 2008, WSOP $5,000 No-Limit Holdem for $755,891. In 2018, he won his second bracelet in the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship and $296,222 home.

In 2019, he won his third bracelet in the $10,000 Razz event for $301,421. In 2021, he came closer to winning his fourth bracelet in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship but ended up in fourth place with $107,967.

Later, in 2022, he won his fourth WSOP bracelet in Event #3: $2,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em for $320,059 and recently, in 2024, in  Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 Or Better Championship, he won his fifth bracelet and took $426,744 home.

Two weeks later, he won  $141,374 in prize money and his sixth bracelet in the $1,500 Razz event.

Seiver also succeeded in the high roller circuit and won his biggest cash award in the 2015 Super High Roller Bowl. He finished 2nd and won $5.2 million. In 2013, he won $2 million in the  Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller.

World Poker Tour

Seiver holds major titles on the World Poker Tour. He has won $2,851,818 across 12 cashes under WPT, ranking him 47th all-time. He has reached the WPT final table thrice. He finished second in the £100,000 tournament in London and won £509,600. In the same season, he also finished fifth in a WPT event in St. Kitts and won $217,280.
