Adda52.com organizes various Rummy tournaments on its website to add the competitive edge to the rummy game. To conduct these Rummy tournaments, we (Adda52.com) have created certain set of rules. Moreover, in our continuous efforts to enhance your Rummy experience, we have created some new rules for Rummy tournaments. However to keep your access to these tournaments smooth, we have clearly mentioned the rules of both old and new tournaments separately.
New Tournament Rules:
- To get yourself registered into a rummy tournament at Adda52.com, you have to give a pre-decided buy-in. The date and time of the tournament are also pre-defined and are mentioned in the Game Lobby and Promotions section both. Only the players who have registered for a tournament before its start time are eligible to play. No late registration is allowed in rummy tournaments.
- The prize of any rummy tournament, that runs at Adda52.com, depends on the collective buy-in of that tournament and is precisely mentioned in the lobby of the Tournament.
- No table can accommodate more than 6 players, however, 4 to 6 players can play on each table across the tournaments.
- As the game progresses, players get eliminated and hence the tables get merged to maintain the balance of players on them. However, at each table fixed number of hands will be played irrespective of the time taken to complete these hands. On the other hand, the tables that have already finished the fixed hands for that level, will have to wait for the particular table to finish its pre-defined hands before the next level starts.
- In any Rummy tournament, all the players start with the same chip stack known as starting chip stack and have to continue to consolidate the chip stack. The objective of Rummy game is to get the final player having all the chips in play.
- The threshold levels and starting chip stacks may change for each tourney, and they will be displayed at the tourney info panel.
- A player will be out of the tournament and cannot join back if he/she exits the room while playing the tournament.
- No turn-time is pre-defined in new Rummy tournament, it is kept variable.
- A player is put to sit-out mode when he/she skips 2 consecutive turns. However, the turn of such an inactive player comes as per the game play. He/she will automatically get the top card from the discarded pile and that same card will be discarded back as well. He will continue to be on sit out mode as long as his chips are above the threshold limit.
- All rummy tournaments, that run at Adda52.com, have the 13 card rummy format.
- All gameplay rules for rummy tournament at Adda52.com are same as a rummy game of 13 card rummy.
- Adda52.com offers tournaments in both freeroll and cash categories.
- If a player decides to drop a hand, then the drop points will be equal to –Drop Points applicable X Multiplier at that time.
- Depending upon the number of players that have registered for the tournament, it can be at different levels. As each and every level has a fixed number of hands that are played on each table, thus the players, who are above the threshold, will move ahead and play at the next level.
- The game termination timer of 8 minutes is there wherein if a particular hand does not get over in 8 minutes, then that particular hand is terminated and no points are given to any player.
